Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common queries about booking through 4Drive Seychelles

Below you will find practical information covering the booking process, required documents, payment methods, and operational details. 4Drive Seychelles connects travelers with local suppliers operating across Mahe.

How does the booking process work?

You select dates and vehicle category on our platform, then complete an advance payment online. Within hours you receive a voucher by email containing the supplier contact details, pickup location on Providence Highway or at SEZ Seychelles International, and the rental agreement terms. On arrival you sign the contract directly with the local supplier listed in the voucher.

What documents do I need to drive in Seychelles?

A valid national driving licence held for at least three years. If your licence uses non-Latin script you must also present an International Driving Permit. Passport and return flight itinerary are requested at the counter.

Is there a minimum age requirement?

Minimum age is 23 years. Some categories require the driver to be 25 or older. Licence must have been issued at least three years before the pickup date.

Do I need a credit card or deposit?

No deposit and no credit card required. You pay the booking advance online and settle the balance with the supplier in cash at pickup. The supplier may note your debit card details for reference but does not block any funds.

What is the fuel policy?

Full-to-full. You collect the vehicle with a full tank and return it full. Stations are located in Victoria centre and along Providence Highway near the airport junction. Keep the final receipt in case of query.

Can I modify my booking dates?

Contact us at [email protected] or +248 4 372 619 as soon as possible. Changes depend on vehicle availability and may incur a fare difference. Cancellation terms are detailed in your voucher.

Where do I collect and return the vehicle?

Most suppliers operate from offices on Providence Highway, about ten minutes south of Victoria. Airport meet-and-greet at SEZ Seychelles International is available; the supplier will wait in Arrivals holding a name board. Return procedures are confirmed in your voucher.

What does the voucher contain?

Booking reference, supplier name and telephone, pickup address or meeting instructions, rental period, vehicle group, insurance coverage level, mileage allowance, fuel policy, balance due at counter, and cancellation terms. Print or save it on your phone.

Can I take the vehicle to Praslin or La Digue?

Vehicles remain on Mahé. The Cat Cocos ferry to Praslin carries foot passengers only; inter-island transfers require separate arrangements. La Digue is best explored by bicycle.

Who do I contact if I have an issue during the rental?

Call the supplier telephone number printed on your voucher. For breakdown or accident the supplier will dispatch assistance. For booking or payment queries reach 4Drive Seychelles on +248 4 372 619 Monday to Sunday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM GMT+4.
